Core Team

  • Madeleine Chalk

    Actor, Writer
    Director of Marketing

Madeleine Chalk is a Scorpio enneagram type 7 who enjoys funneling such chaotic energy into short-form comedy, creating characters such as the (not-at-all autobiographical) Emotional Support Drunk Girl. Also a digital artist, singer, and playwright, she spends her spare moments nursing her ongoing identity crisis. Education includes The Second City, half an opera degree, and a Mulaney-method literature B.A. from James Madison University.

  • Judy Clayton

    Actor, Writer

Judy is from the OC and despite her constant efforts, never made it on the hit television show, The OC. Instead, she attended USC where she earned a Bachelor’s in Theatre and was an actor/writer for the sketch comedy group, The Suspenders. Now, you can find her acting/writing sometimes and mining bitcoin at her corporate 9 to 5. Her biggest dream is to see a blue whale.

  • Christie Griffin

    Actor, Writer
    Director of Social

Christie (she/her), spends her days pretending! Most of the time, she's a Pacman ghost or a Zombie, and sometimes even the "Master of the house" (whatever that means...?). Oh, we forgot to mention she's a Nanny...these aren't actual real life acting credits unfortunately (Sorry Mum and Dad!). When Christie isn't running around with a six year old, she's writing and performing sketch comedy-- Wow the more I write this the more I realize how mad my parents must be about spending all that money on Acting School. Anyway, since graduating, Christie filmed her first feature film in Norway, has shot countless commercials, and continues to train at Stan Kirsch Studios (via zoom!). She is currently represented by Gina Stoj Management.

  • Marc Hills

    Actor, Writer

Marc is the tall one. Some say he was once trapped inside of a tree many years ago and has since been living in fear of returning to that barken prison. After taking human form he grew up in San Francisco where he developed an interest in acting in high school productions as well several shows with the American Conservatory Theater. He then attended USC and graduated with a BFA in Acting. Since then, he has spent his time working in film and television, and, of course, writing and acting in Elephant Department sketches. He is repped by BRS Gage and Velocity Entertainment.

  • Rachel Mathieu

    Actor, Writer
    President, Executive Producer

Rachel can’t stop acting out and is “channeling” that into “comedy.” She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where she trained in acting, classical piano, and ballet. Rachel then attended the USC acting program with all these other clowns, and graduated with a B.A. in theatre and a B.A. in design (why disappoint your parents with an art degree when you can devastate them with two).

Since then, Rachel has continued classes in on-camera performance, audition technique, improv, and sketch writing (Stan Kirsch, Upright Citizens Brigade) while working on various commercial and theatrical projects. She is repped by Shelter Entertainment and the Peter Kallinteris Agency.

  • Patrick Steward

    Actor, Writer
    Vice President

Patrick is an identical twin from Scottsdale, Arizona, that kinda looks like a fraternal twin, but is actually an identical twin. He moved to LA 6 years ago to pursue his acting and writing dreams. An improv comedy vet, Patrick couldn’t be more excited to jump into the world of sketch with Elephant Department. Outside of comedy, Patrick is a Phoenix Suns super fan and complete NBA junkie. He is still mourning the Suns loss to the Bucks in the finals please do not call or text at this time. He is repped by The Zachary Company.

  • Jens Sweaney

    Actor, Writer

Jens Sweaney is a relatively untalented foreigner with a poor sense of humour. He recently graduated from USC’s Theatre Program and hopes one day to aspire to something. As for now, he’s the star of the absurdist short film, The Origin Story of Gerald the Lemon; I think he also did an Adidas Tennis commercial once, good for him.
